EcoEgg Review

Let me just start out by saying, I HATE laundry! I mean, with the fire of a thousand hells - I hate it.

With that stated, I have found a way to hate it a little less. And to top it all off it's saving me money. With all of my full time jobs (vet tech, mom, wife, wildlife rehabber) anything to make my day to day a little smoother and to find it also saves me some of that sweet, sweet cheddar - it's a game changer.

Without further hype, here it is - the EcoEgg.

This baby is my favorite product of 2018 and also my favorite gift I am giving to all my laundry loathing chicks out there for Christmas. Want some stats? Here we go....

The EcoEgg Laundry Egg uses mineral pellets (similar to bicarbonate of soda which is know for its amazing cleaning properties) and tourmaline pellets together to naturally ionize the oxygen molecules in water to penetrate deep into fabric and lift away all of your daily nastiness and soften your laundry naturally. No harsh chemicals and even better - no fading!

The EcoEgg was developed in the UK and won the Queen's Award for enterprise for Innovation in 2016.

The EcoEgg is dermatologically tested and (drum roll please) CRUELTY FREE! Please tell me why in 2018 we are STILL testing on animals...please. Anyone? No? Didn't think so....

EcoEgg offers a 30 day "love it or return it" guarantee on all of their products and even a 10 year guarantee on the EcoEgg Laundry Egg. I mean, holy guacamole!

Are you ready to crunch some numbers? Go get your card out of your wallet because I'm about to blow your mind.

The EcoEgg Laundry Egg 1008 Kit comes with the colored (either scented or unscented) laundry egg, a white laundry egg to be used with the special whitening pellets, 2 laundry egg holders, 9 EcoEgg mineral pellets for colored laundry, 9 EcoEgg mineral pellets with whitener, and 2 packets of toumaline pellets which will last the life of the other pellets. This is enough product to wash 1008 loads of laundry. PEOPLE! This is 5 years worth of laundry for the average family ( 3-4 loads/week)!

Cost you ask? $34.99. Yep! That's $0.03 per load! The cheapest comparative I could find (that's WITH harsh chemicals and still tested on animals) was $0.07/load and a big jug only lasted 140 loads. Who really wants to spend more money on detergent and more time having to add it to your machine EVERY time. Just throw the EcoEgg in the wash and only check it from time to time to add more pellets. I would say a monkey could do it but it turns out monkeys are kind of smart so we'll just say its pretty simple.

The Ecoegg comes in Unscented, Fresh Linen, Spring Blossom and Lavender. You can also choose between 720 and 1008 load size.

As if things couldn't get any better - they also offer an EcoEgg Dryer Ball. Yep, they've literally thought of everything. No more dryer sheets my friends! This baby cuts drying time by 28% which also helps you save electricity! The dryer egg comes in Spring Blossom and Fresh Linen in a set of 2 for $24.90. Extra scent sticks included!

I'm not sure what else you could want from a laundry egg. This is such a great product! It can be very frustrating at times to try to find an environmentally friendly product while also saving money. Well here it is and I am OBSESSED! Yes, its a laundry egg. It's not solving world hunger or fixing the janked political system. But it took on the evils of the laundry world and made them a little less like my person hell and a little more like Disney on a weekday in the off season. And for that, this on the verge of day drinking mommy thanks you from the bottom of her tree hugging heart.
